Francisco was born in Mexico City and graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) with a law degree.
He has more than 30 years of experience in his practice, which includes all aspects of Trademark and Industrial Property Law. Francisco represents renowned clients in the automotive and technology areas, earning him recognition from various international directories such as Legal 500, Best Lawyers, among others.

Francisco has acquired vast experience in diverse Intellectual Property matters, mainly in the areas such as trademark searches and counseling, trademark filing and prosecution matters, trademark licensing and assignment, mergers and acquisitions audits, trademark litigation, infringement actions, domain names and patents.

- Francisco manages the portfolio of well-known companies in the automotive and engineering industry and has successfully litigated trademark matters on behalf of major companies
- He has participated as a speaker in various forums, such as those organized by the Mexican Association of Intellectual Property (AMPPI), mainly in the late 90’s and early 2000’s; he was a synodal in the intellectual property subject of the Universidad Anahuac in 2004 and 2005, also participated as a speaker and moderator in the intellectual property classes organized by the AMPPI.
- Currently, Mr. Capetillo is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and has been part of several committees. He has also authored several articles for various international journals on his area of expertise, such as Managing Intellectual Property. He actively participated in some AMPPI committees.
